Job Purpose
QA/QC inspector for C&S is required to witness, monitor and follow up on day-to-day activities on site as per the approved project quality plan, inspection and test plan, and approved quality formats to ensure compliance with codes, standards, regulations, specifications and QMS requirements. In case of any deviation, it shall be immediately reported to the QA/QC lead and Project manager to close out as per quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for inspection of steel structure erection, alignment and final release for grout works, aware of and practicing experience of international codes and standards for civil and structure execution work
- Ensure compliance with all steel structure fabrication as per approved drawings, Responsible for bolt tightening, and bolt torqueing as per ASTM, Review all material test certificates for civil and structure material NDT requirements for steel structure
- Responsible for the inspection of sandwich panels & different kinds of structural cladding
- Good communication skills by a good interface between various entities of the project team, Participation in all multi-functional activities like site preparation, and site protection, particularly earthwork cut & fill
- Integration of civil works aspects like foundations, stability, technology, testing to various phases of the project, Preparation of specification for construction, transformation, repairs/rehabilitation of structures
- Responsible for overseeing & reviewing the EPC contractor & sub-contractors civil package deliverables to ensure that they are within the specification, assist in the preparation, review & documentation like ITP, QA/QC procedures, Quality plan etc, related to the project
- Based on monitoring/inspection, issue and follow up on non-conformity reports (NCR), Corrective action requests (CARs) and preventive action requests (PARs)
- Ensure the implementation of approved ITP, QCP, inspection and test procedures developed by the contractor and approved by the company
- Ensure involvement in all civil and structure mechanical completion including punch listing, final walk-down activities, and all the pipeline activities like grading, trenching, as built, berm/bund construction etc Raising punch point list as per project specification and follow-up for the same for closeout.
- Reviewing final QC dossiers as per project specification and providing inputs if any
Qualifications
- Diploma of Associate Engineer Civil /B. E Civil Engineering
- Computer literate – in particular, MS Office

QA/QC-related knowledge, Communication Skills, Personnel Management Skills, Initiative.
Requirements
- Experience: Total Experience: 5 years of working in QA/QC with a minimum of 3 years in Oil & Gas projects
- MS Office: Excel, Word and PowerPoint – Advanced
- Any other software as may be available from time to time
- English – Excellent (Spoken & Written)
