mselect is looking to hire an NDT Integrity Inspector for an international oil and gas operator in Duhok, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years of inspection experience performing inspections in the oil and gas industry on refineries, or EPFs. Fluency in Kurdish and English is a must.

Job Purpose
The position of NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Integrity Inspector involves ensuring the mechanical integrity and safety of plant equipment through comprehensive inspection, evaluation, and documentation processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Detect equipment degradation and develop effective plans for equipment retirements Improves plant mechanical integrity as per code, industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Attending operation meetings and regular plant visits to provide inspection recommendations illustrating detailed QA plans for major and emergency plant issues as required
  • Perform proper set-up and calibration of NDT equipment Interpretation and evaluation of NDT results as per code requirements and industry standards
  • Perform inspection of piping, static equipment and rotary equipment in normal operation, such as Auxiliary boilers, pressure vessels, piping systems, heat exchangers, stabilization columns, amine plants, etc as per code, and industry standards
  • Carry out internal inspection of static equipment during plant turnaround and shutdown plant as per code, and industry standards Release report for all inspection activities
  • Attend technical meetings to finalize the scope and ensure all inspection requirements are incorporated Prepare detailed Inspection packages for the integrity coordinator
  • Prepare the final inspection reports for piping, static, and rotating equipment with detailed observations, recommendations, and modifications work carried out during plant shutdowns
  • Lead or be a member of RCA related to assigned plant issues to find the root cause and ensure such problems do not recur
  • Participate in JSA/Risk assessment/MOC meeting etc Review temporary MOC for QA hold points
  • Starting from Corrosion Loop Diagrams (CLDs), equipment and piping item risk profile coming from RBI analysis, it is required to perform as follows: Gathering related design data from technical disciplines to build up a comprehensive inspection asset register, Corrosion loop diagrams preparation, Inventory group drawings preparation, RBI import spreadsheet preparation, Inspection plan development to meet local regulations and RBI analysis outcome, Supporting the project Integrity Coordinator in reviewing the project technical documentation in respect to the contractual requirements, Preparation of required documentation to attend meetings with Company, project team or vendors
  • Witness Fabrication/Welding/tool builds/NDT/Proof, and Performance Testing and enforcement of International Specifications Contractor, Vendor, Company, and code requirements
  • Ensure confidence that Quality and Design requirements are being met
  • Interpret and Implement Quality assurance standards
  • Assist in developing QC dossiers
  • Steward Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) and Deficiency Reporting System implementation and control for received goods (where applicable) and local contractor-supplied goods and services
  • Confirm documentation control for goods procured along with contractor services
  • Coordinate QMS assessments on all new and existing local goods and service contractors Additionally, conduct internal assessments of the Contractor QMS and compliance with Company QC requirements
  • Coordinate equipment receiving inspections (where applicable)
  • Ensure Contractor/Vendor Traceability specifications are being followed
  • Act as Contractor key performance indicator (KPI) facilitator for service providers
  • Participate and share key lessons learned and/or other quality-related issues
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with Fabrication service tools and equipment preparations/inspections to include, but not limited to, Material Receiving, Welding Inspections, Traceability conformance,
  • NDT inspections, repair, reassembly, pressure testing, and function testing of service tools and equipment, and enforces compliance to all applicable specifications
  • Inspect fabrication work including welding and coatings
  • Able to read and understand Material Test Certificates
  • Able to develop Red Line Drawings and hand sketch Isometrics
  • Able to read and understand PID, Isometric and GA drawings
  • Able to understand and interpret radiograph films
  • Interacts with the contractor’s agents to facilitate repairs on contractor-owned quarantined goods (e.g. damaged, etc) and provides oversight of repairs

Requirements
  • Must have a minimum of 7 years of inspection experience performing inspections in the oil and gas industry on refineries, or EPF’s
  • Certified Level II Non-Destructive testing ASNT Level II in VT, PT, MT, ET, RT, UTSW, IR, TOFD, PAUT
  • Certified in related standards, API 570, API 577, API 653, ASME SEC IX
  • International welding certificate such as CSWIP 31, or CWI CWB is not accepted
  • Certified NACE/AMPP Level II CIP, and NACE SSPC
  • Must Hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or metallurgical engineering from a recognized and approved program
  • Certified in related standards, API 570, API 577, API 653, ASME SEC IX
  • Skilled and experienced in Industrial Construction, Fabrication, Mechanical, Pipeline, Static and rotating equipment as appropriate
  • Extensive relevant experience in onshore oil and gas facility construction
  • Well-versed in quality improvement techniques, resolving issues, carrying out root cause analysis and non-conformance investigations
  • Data analysis and reporting skills
  • Able to track Welding, inspection, Flange Management, and other site activities
  • Competent experience with MS Office
  • Excellent Organization Skills and oriented
  • Experience in managing EP and Construction Contractor
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal/leadership skills are essential
  • Team player, acting as a champion to break new grounds and self-motivated with an ability to find solutions to new challenges
  • Ability to manage the relationship with key stakeholders
  • Proven track record of result deliveries in challenging project environments
