mselect is looking for a Risk Manager for an international banking client in Baghdad. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of risk related experience with compliance, audit, credit or even Operation background. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To support insurance sales, and to maximize the competitive advantage of the Bank's business by:
    • Providing product knowledge
    • Sales and after-sales support of insurance products to customers
    • Collaborate with Priority RMs teams to provide professional insurance planning services and pre-sales information, meet potential customers and answer complex insurance enquires
  • Analyse customers’ financial situation and identify their financial needs recommend relevant products and structure solutions to best suit their needs
  • Provide quality after-sales services to maintain the customer relationship and solicits referral business to expand the customer base
  • Work closely with Priority RMs teams to optimize the sales results
  • Maximize business opportunities to achieve predictable sales targets/ business goals
  • Coaching RMs for knowledge development
  • Comply with all applicable compliance procedures and report any suspicious activity to Money Laundering Prevention Officer and line manager
  • Comply with the guidelines listed in operation manual and product policies on all sales process
  • Adhere to the highest standard of quality and customer satisfaction

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across the bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct
  • Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters
  • Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association

Qualifications
  • University Graduate
  • 3 years of risk related experience in general, an ideal candidate can come from compliance, audit, credit or even Operation background
  • Banking or Big Four experience
  • A certificate in risk management is an advantage
