mselect is looking to hire a Sales Manager for a retail client in Baghdad. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, with at least 2 years with international organization. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

Objective
Maintain, manage and coordinate existing agreements with customers. Maximize the sale of Lubricants with other services and achieve targets set at the beginning of the year. Bring new business in. Responsible for invoicing process and cash collection. Accountable for managing forecast and operation. Position will be based out of Baghdad and Basra.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the performance of the company for the territory of Iraq
  • To build strong relationships with customers
  • To conduct regular meetings (by phone/virtual) with the Managing Director of the company to communicate problems with customers and principals
  • To maximize the sale of lubricants and services and meet territory targets
  • To sell for the assigned territory through personal sales visits and telephone follow ups
  • To develop new business by penetrating new market segments, bringing new business, expanding customer base
  • To conduct Promotional Sales calls for specific products as necessary in his/her allocated region on potential and existing customers, including cold calling to ensure sustainability and continuous growth
  • To follow up quotations and turn RFQs into P.Os
  • To conduct programmed visits with principals in his/ her allocated region as necessary and maintain good relationships with Shell and other principles
  • To report competitors’ activities periodically
  • To work closely with operations and accounts departments and manage own clients orders
  • To follow up timely payments and receipts
  • To communicate all information from customers and suppliers to relevant departments to ensure that all non-conformances and complaints are logged and handled efficiently and effectively
  • Responsible for the identification of the function’s risks and opportunities and the proposal of actions for their addressment

Qualifications & Experience:
  • College or University Degree
  • Minimum 5 years sales experience in the Iraqi market
  • Good command of English and Arabic languages
  • At least 2 years work experience with international organization
  • Thorough Computer Skills in Microsoft Office
