KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
- Prepare and oversee the budgeting process, including the development of annual operating plans and forecasts
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis to assess company performance against budgets and forecasts
- Generate comprehensive financial reports for senior management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Provide detailed variance analysis to explain deviations from financial targets and budgets
- Analyze and monitor logistics costs, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management expenses
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements within the logistics operations
- Support long-term strategic planning by providing financial insights and recommendations
- Evaluate the financial impact of potential business opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives
- Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making processes
- Utilize data analytics tools to extract, analyze, and interpret large datasets, providing actionable insights
- Revenue Management: Analyze revenue streams and profitability by service line, customer segment, and geographical region
- Identify trends and opportunities to optimize pricing strategies and improve margins
- Assess financial risks related to logistics operations, including currency fluctuations, fuel price volatility, and supply chain disruptions
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
- Evaluate capital expenditure proposals for logistics infrastructure and equipment
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses and financial justification for capital investments
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals with business objectives
- Present financial findings and recommendations to senior management and executive teams
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal policies
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documentation and analysis
REQUREMENTS
Education:
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration
- Very strong accounting background
- Very strong finance experience with emphasis on cash flow management, invoicing, cost analysis, budgeting, and other financial modules that can be used in his scope of work
- Very strong understanding of financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Highly organized, and knows how to prioritize tasks
- Will be working with an accountant, and will oversee his daily work
- Excellent Microsoft Excel competency, and good Word, Powerpoint comprehension
- Fluency in English and Arabic is a must
- Very good email writing skills to communicate properly with clients and vendors via official communication platform (G Suite or Microsoft Outlook)
- Advanced Excel: Proficiency with functions, pivot tables, and macros
- Financial Modeling: Expertise in forecasting, budgeting, and valuation techniques
- ERP Systems: Experience with SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Data Analysis Tools: Proficiency in SQL and statistical software (eg, R, SAS)
- Data Visualization: Skills in Power BI, Tableau, or Excel for clear data presentation
- Accounting Software: Familiarity with QuickBooks, Sage; understanding GAAP and IFRS
- Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards
- Risk Management: Ability to assess and mitigate financial risks in logistics operations
