KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Assist the Lead Well Intervention Engineer to:
- Design and support delivery of safe & efficient well intervention operations with low-to-zero NPT
- Ensure the objectives of well interventions are achieved and improvements are captured
- Contribute to the asset integrity
- Identify and follow-up downgraded situations and ensure implementation of identified mitigations
- Ensure Safety specifications for wells and well operations are affected and maintained in compliance with company and statutory standards
- Adopt and demonstrate exemplarity towards HSE rules with associated enforcement and control within the area of responsibility
- Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and client’s HSE standards
- Actively participate in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes
- Assist the WIFP (Well Integrity Focal Point) to maintain a full visibility of the wells integrity and remedial operations planned
- Build and maintain up to date the Wells Status Register
- Liaise with other departments (Field Ops, Well Performance, HSE) for well integrity related topics
- Be actively involved in preparing and carrying out risk assessments on operational options, well remediation and well integrity situations
- Initiate and follow up approval processes
- Prepare detailed well intervention programs (including Well Head maintenance and remedial activities), based on the approved Well Scope Of Requirements (SOR) or Well Service Request, and in compliance with client’s referential and best practices
- Participate to preparation of Authorization of Expenditure (AFE) for well intervention operations
- Responsible for day to day well intervention cost follow-up
- Track and report well intervention Key Performance Indicators
- Conduct troubleshooting and post failure analyses for failed or problematic well equipment or well behavior
- Prepare and issue End of Well / Intervention Reports
- Actively participate in the drilling improvement process for workover and well interventions, capturing lessons learned and improvement initiatives for future operations
- Responsible for “migrating” legacy well information within the client’s database and keep it updated
- Manage and follow up well intervention contracts
- Coordinate and lead Service Quality Meetings (SQM) with vendors
- Assist the Superintendents during the well intervention periods and ensure all lessons learned are properly captured, documented and mitigations implemented in future programs
REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
- Master’s degree in a Petroleum related field
- Or equivalent certified professional experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry with at least 5 years in workover and/or drilling and/or completion operations
- Well control certificate (IWCF-International Well Control Forum-Certificate) or IADC-International Certification of Drilling Contractors) is required
- Must be dynamic, proactive, organized and detail oriented
- Fluency in English and Arabic is a must
