Role Synopsis
Support the lead Wells Senior Cost Engineer to ensure proper recording and forecasting of operational costs for the Business area. Report costs to Finance and Management. Wells Cost Analyst will assist the Wells Senior Cost Engineer in the business area.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Actuals/ Invoice processing:
- Ensure prompt and accurate processing of supplier invoices in accordance with contract terms with onward routing for technical and financial approvals
- Monitor and ensure proper recording of any Inventory transactions booked to operations area
- Maintain system to monitor and track budget, forecast and actual costs in departmental cost trackers
- Monitor contract spend and support contract establishment/ renewal processes
- Maintain reports to clearly and simply explain underlying business activity to Finance and Management
- Calculate and submit month end VoWD to the Wells Senior Cost Engineer for review. Support and validate accruals booked
- Work closely with members of the Wells team, supporting various ad-hoc Finance based functions
- Assist the Wells Senior Cost Engineer to prepare timely Budgets and provide support to Authorisation for Expenditures workings
Criteria and Qualifications
- Finance based role for multinational company (2+ years)
- Oil and Gas industry experience
- Strong analytical and information skills
- Good interpersonal skills and willingness to learn new processes
- Good understanding of Oil and Gas Accounting Practices a plus
- Good Computer skills – including Excel, Word, Outlook
- Competence with Financial systems – experience with SUN/ Maximo a plus
- Good English language speaking and writing skills
