Ahoura’s story
My name is Ahoura, and I am a Kurd from Syria. Like all of my peers, I came to Erbil to continue my education and flee the war in Syria.
Although I was motivated, it took a lot of work for a refugee to start his studies here in Erbil. Still, against all odds, I enrolled in Media Hub for Marketing and Social Media in 2016 and finished at the beginning of 2019.
After many failed attempts to find a job, I considered going abroad because I saw that my potential may not be possible here. The process of immigration was complex - I went from Erbil to Turkey and then from Turkey to Greece. However, after a near-death experience, I had a change of heart and returned to Erbil, promising myself a new life.
As I sat at home, hopelessly scrolling down my LinkedIn feed looking for jobs, I saw that mselect was hiring employees. It was like magic - I contacted them, visited the company, and provided them with everything they needed. After a few days, I received a job offer from them to work with one of the biggest companies in the world, Ferrero Rocher.
I am now an information auditor for Ferrero and have been working with them since 2019. It has had a significant impact on my life, both personally and professionally. mselect helped me regain lost motivation - They saw my potential and did everything they could to find the perfect job for me. A huge thanks to mselect and Ferrero Rocher for helping me create my new life.
