JOB PURPOSE
Working knowledge of the management and integration of information, sourced product/material, transportation, inventory, warehousing, material handling, and packaging, and occasionally security, between the point of origin and the point of consumption to meet customer requirements. Selection of a transportation mode and service provider to meet due dates, cost and service objectives. Analyzing and selecting an appropriate transportation mode(s) to meet cost and service objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations
- Client Requirements Management: Led identifying and fulfilling client logistics needs a crucial role that ensures international and domestic service excellence and contributes significantly to our company's success
- Quotation and Tender Oversight: Manage the preparation and submission of quotations for Freight Forwarding and Domestic tenders, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness
- Customer Inquiry Response: Serve as the primary contact for client inquiries and quotations, providing timely and comprehensive responses
- Support and Rate Negotiation: Assist International and Domestic teams in negotiating optimal rates with agents and service providers
- Service Analysis and Improvement: Analyze service delivery reports to identify quality enhancement and profitability improvement areas
- Information System Maintenance: Ensure continuous updates and maintenance of information systems for accuracy and efficiency
- Customer Feedback Management: Collect, handle, and share customer feedback to drive service improvements and client satisfaction
- KPI Achievement: Set and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets aligned with business goals
- Growth Strategy Development: Create and implement growth strategies tailored to mega-projects, infrastructure, construction, and power plant sectors, leveraging your extensive experience to drive our company's growth
- Business Opportunity Research: Conduct thorough research into new business opportunities and viable income streams
- Market and Industry Analysis: Monitor local and international industry trends to identify emerging opportunities and mitigate risks
- Proposal and Contract Management: Develop compelling business proposals and manage contract drafting, review, and negotiation to ensure favorable terms
- Strategic Reporting: Regularly report on business development activities, successes, and areas for improvement to senior management
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with current clients while also seeking out new clients to expand business opportunities
- Industry Networking: Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to establish connections and identify potential business partners and clients
- Professional Networking: Use professional networks to stay updated on market developments and competitive dynamics
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor the business development team, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
