JOB PURPOSE
The Fleet Manager will oversee all transportation operations, including vehicle maintenance, fuel management, routing, warehousing, communications, EDI implementations, and cargo handling. This role encompasses carrier selection, accounting, and ensuring effective fleet operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage the domestic customer service, maintenance, and drivers’ team, ensuring high performance and coordination
- Handle invoicing for domestic transportation, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
- Address customer inquiries and resolve escalated issues to maintain satisfaction
- Implement and oversee HSE initiatives, ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Develop and enforce transportation policies to improve operational efficiency
- Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules and manage fuel cost and usage
- Plan and execute routing and mapping for timely and efficient deliveries
- Coordinate warehousing and cargo handling, ensuring secure and effective operations
- Manage EDI implementations for streamlined communication with partners
- Select and manage carriers, negotiate contracts, and prepare performance reports
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or engineering
- Skills: Proficiency in Transportation Management and fluency in English and Arabic
- Processes: Proficient in Maintenance Planning, Domestic Transport Inquiries, Service Booking, Journey Management, Communication with Drivers, Collections, Deliveries, and Reporting
- Experience: Extensive experience in carrier selection, cost/benefit analysis, master data management, project management, and utilization of Transportation Management Systems such as Fleetio
- Aptitudes: Strong accountability, analytical skills, business acumen, change management, and leadership Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and Fleetio is required
- Trainings: Relevant training in Supply Chain Finance, Business Ethics, Customer & Supplier Communication, Exception Management, Logistics Operations, Negotiation Skills, and Safety and Environmental Management
