Job purpose
To ensure that the performance and availability of mechanical equipment in particular Gas Turbine meets the standards required to achieve safety, production and environmental targets
To execute all activities safely and efficiently to agreed work plans, safety management system requirements and best working practices
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out planned maintenance in accordance with the requirements of the planned maintenance system for various Gas Turbine, Gas Turbine balance of plant equipment, Pumps, Compressor, DG Sets, Valves, Flange Management and other mechanical equipment and package equipments
- To perform maintenance and troubleshooting activities for the all gas turbines including all auxiliary systems, particularly Solar TAURUS 60, MARS 100 and Titan 130 gas turbines
- Carrying out unplanned/Corrective maintenance as required
- Minimizing downtime and contributing to the achievement of production targets
- Preparing technical reports
- Fault finding and rectification for mechanical equipment
- To identify and initiate critical spares and non-critical spares for replenishment of the stock to ensure adequate supplies of stores and spare parts required for maintenance and repair work in liaise with the Supervisor
- Carry out mechanical isolations, and work-site inspections
- Contribute in updating and improving Maintenance Checklists, Procedures & Guidelines
- To be proactive with a logical approach to challenges and suggest innovative ideas for continues improvement of technology and safety
- To engage in new projects and equipment upgrade installation, commissioning & Performance test and issues follow-up and solutions
- Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures, modification of functional processes, machinery or equipment
- Undertakes and ensures that the Company Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures are fully implemented and adhered to, so that Loss Prevention is maximized. Reviews "hot and cold work permits" to ensure safe operational completion of maintenance activities
REQUIREMENTS
Qualification:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree or Diploma from Recognized Institute
- 8 years working experience of repair & maintenance of Gas Turbine, it’s balance of plant equipment, rotating mechanical equipment – various pumps, compressors, DG sets, mechanical seals, alignment of Oil & gas process facilities such as CPF and field production.
- Strong experience in Solar Gas Turbine maintenance, troubleshooting and repair
- Knowledge of hydrocarbon production systems and associated hazards.
- Good knowledge of heavy-duty rotating equipment
- Knowledge of rotating equipment condition monitoring techniques
- Understanding of fire and gas detection and ESD systems
- Fully familiar with the permit to work system and isolation procedures
- Language proficiency, computer and software skills

- Communication skills
- Able to carry out all activities safely and efficiently to agreed work plans, safety management system requirements and best working practices as required by supervisor
- Able to complete work history / reports to the required standard as outlined by supervisor.
- Must have the necessary competencies in mechanical discipline to carry out routine, corrective, breakdown and condition maintenance.
- Able to carry out fault finding and installation, isolation and re-instatement of offshore equipment
- Ability to carry out work-site inspections.
- Able to read, interpret and mark up mechanical technical schematic drawings to as built status.
