Job Purpose
The service holder shall take ownership of managing all site QA/QC activities in the early works and pipeline installation contract. Shall act as QA/QC focal point for the site's early works and pipeline installation package maintaining quality management systems promoting best practice and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance:
- Compliance with the Project Management System documentation
- Ensure the Contractor/Subcontractor compliance quality requirements as per the Contract
- Coordination in the execution of audit schedules
- Execution of quality planning
- Coordination of Vendor, Contractor, Subcontractor Inspection activities, etc
- Ensure all contractor/sub-contractor inspection and test plans are created, communicated, followed, and periodically reviewed/approved before the start of activities at the site
- Ensure all the procedures and method statements are reviewed/approved prior to the start of any activities at the site
- Attend pre-installation meetings for critical packages if required
- Ensure inspection performance metrics are maintained effectively by the contractor
- Review the Inspection/Quality Surveillance reports generated by the Company Surveillance/Inspection personnel
- Coordinate with SMEs (welding, NDE, painting/coating) inspection coordinator and filed engineering, construction, commissioning engineers and other relevant departments
- Monitor and manage the agency QA/QC personnel
- Coordinate with Yard QA/QC Superintendents
- conversant in all the construction commissioning and commissioning activities
- conversant in installation, inspection and testing of all equipment, items, and products like pipeline installation, modules, piping, pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, GTG, valves etc
- conversant in multi-discipline activities mechanical, electrical, civil, instrumentation, welding etc
- Plan, conduct and assist in compliance audits, self-audits and inspections
- Participate in key customer quality reviews
- Ensure all regulatory compliance and standards are met
- Maintain comprehensive audit, response and action matrices
Key requirements
- Qualification: Engineering degree (preferable), quality diploma, Welding/NDT experience
- Languages: Fluent in both English and Arabic (mandatory)
- Professional Experience: At least 15 years’ experience in Quality Assurance/Control within a major project environment, preferably with client-direct experience
- Hands-on experience in Major Pipeline Installation works
- A flexible attitude with a willingness to take on other project activities as and when required by project management is an essential requirement of this position
