Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Pipeline Engineering activities for projects, from the initial concept definition phase through to, engineering studies, FEED, detailed design and commissioning
- Create, develop and review work-scopes for projects and other engineering activities
- Ensure the work scope is comprehensive and clear
- Ensure the required client technical assurance practices, engineering standards, and environmental and safety policies are incorporated and followed, in work scopes and whilst conducting Pipeline Engineering activities Review technical deviations and variations to approved guidelines, codes, standards and practices
- Support Engineering Department to review, update and apply client standards and client’s amendments to external standards
- Plan and coordinate activities of a team of multidiscipline engineers for providing timely delivery of technical services to meet the project requirements
- Carry out in-house site surveys, engineering and design
- Produce, review, check and approve in-house designs and specifications
- Coordinate designs, requirements and work-scopes created by multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Review and approve method statements developed by contracted organisations for scope compliance Liaise with contracted organisations to resolve technical issues
- Develop, update and monitor schedules for in-house engineering activities
- Conduct evaluation of technical bid packages for scope compliance
- Review and evaluate the Contract Changes/Variation to approved guidelines and practices
- Support the development of personal technical competency and skills, and those of Co-workers Participate in structured training for Associate Engineers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering (or similar)
- Chartered/Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferable
- Minimum 10 years of relevant post-graduate experience in the Oil & Gas industry, of which 6 years should be in Pipeline Engineering
- Ability to identify and utilise, relevant engineering standards and codes related to Pipeline Engineering
- Proven ability to manage time, cost and quality in engineering projects within a multiple-project environment
- Fluency in English with good verbal and writing communication skills and proficiency in conducting presentations
