MSELECT is looking to hire a Site Manager for a construction company in Sulaymaniyah. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years experience in construction projects. Excellent communication skills in Kurdish, Arabic and English.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· Define and work on the scopes of the project
· Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
· Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project while developing a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
· Procure equipment’s required
· Review the project schedule with client/CEO and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required
· Determine the objectives and measure upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
· In consultation with the appropriate manager, recruit, interview and select contractors, staff, and or volunteers with appropriate skills for the project activities
· Manage project staff and/or volunteers according to the established policies and practices of the organization
· Ensure that all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the organization and the project
· Contract qualified contractors to work on the project
· Execute the project according to the project plan
· Develop forms and records to document project activities
· Comply with Local government requirements, ensure updated documents are used, submit and negotiate essential files with local authorities
· Ensure compliance with Construction Codes
· Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
· Write reports and communicate regarding the project for management and owners
· Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures
· Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to CEO on a regular basis
· Ensure that all financial records and deliverables for the project are up to date, within the budget and at the required level of quality
· Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase
· Material Testing
· Apply established design and drafting practices in developing or modifying moderately complex design concepts and deliverables
· Coordinate with other design group personnel to review and exchange project information necessary for design development
· Develop or modify deliverables
· Develop necessary views, sections and details with minimal supervision
· Learn and understand project, company, client standards and procedures
· Perform minor computations such as material quantity estimate, dimensional checks, etc., as assigned
· Continuously evaluate the methods used to accomplish the design concept and drafting activities that have been assigned
· Ensure that the deliverables are compliant drawings and verbal instructions
· Review, revise, adjust plans provided by consultants and liaise with them
· Review, compare BOQ between different items and choosing the most cost effective while ensuring the quality of the materials
 

Requirements:

· Education: BSc Civil Engineer
· Previous Experience in Year & Field: 10+ years in construction projects
· Language Skills: Excellent Kurdish, English and Arabic
· Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Primavera
· Organizational Skills
