JOB SUMMARY
The position plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the successful execution of corporate events, conferences, and similar gatherings. The primary focus of the role is on coordinating stage logistics, supporting presenters and speakers, managing stage operations, and ensuring a seamless and professional event experience for clients and attendees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate event schedules, rehearsals, and timelines to ensure smooth execution
- Assist presenters and speakers with their entrances, exits, and any technical requirements (microphones, presentations, etc)
- Coordinate cueing of presentations, videos, and slides according to the event program
- Manage the backstage area during events to ensure smooth transitions between presentations and performances
- Cue presenters and speakers for their appearances on stage and coordinate with AV technicians for adjustments as needed
- Be prepared to handle unforeseen challenges or technical issues during events, such as equipment failures or schedule adjustments
- Maintain composure and efficiency to resolve issues promptly and minimize disruption
- Collaborate with venue staff and suppliers to coordinate logistics and ensure a seamless event experience
- Conduct training sessions with presenters and speakers prior to the event to familiarize them with stage logistics, technical setups, and presentation cues
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their specific requirements and ensure that presenters are well-prepared for their roles
REQUIREMENTS
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Stage Management: Proven experience as a stage manager or in a similar role, especially in corporate events, conferences, or live productions
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of audiovisual equipment, lighting systems, and stage management practices
- Live Event Production: Hands-on experience in live event production with a good understanding of the event management industry
- Fluency in English, Kurdish and Arabic is a must
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve unexpected issues during events efficiently
- Calm Under Pressure: Composure to maintain a calm demeanor and make sound decisions in high-stress situations
