Job Objective
Supervises the storage (including physical receiving) and issue operations of material in the entire yard areas (yard and the open hangers). Ensures that all activities pertaining to physical receiving/ handling/ unloading, storage, binning, issues etc. are carried out properly and transacted systematically. Plans the Yard activities and procedures for the safe, efficient handling and control of all material. Monitors and controls the movement of trucks hauling out and/or delivering loads of freight. Ensures incoming loads have the proper documentation and completes the physical formalities in coordination with Receiving Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervises the activities of assigned personnel in the Unit. Prepares daily work program for assigned personnel and provides detailed work instructions as required. Performs supervisory duties at the level established by management for the position
- Ensures all records of material transactions are completed accurately and promptly. Ensures all documents are properly maintained and relevant copies are sent to concerned departments
- Controls the issuing of material from the yard to authorized Company personnel in accordance with issue doc. Ensures all issues are acknowledged by the User/ recipient at site/ location. Supervises all handling requirement of material and Directs the transportation contractor for logistics requirements
- Directs and controls the movement of incoming and outgoing bulk shipments into the warehouse yard area and ensures its safe and prompt operation. Includes monitoring and controlling the availability of handling equipment’s like forklifts, loaders and cranes etc, for loading/unloading of bulk shipments
- Supervises physical receiving of all bulk shipments in the yard after verification of relevant documents in coordination with Receiving Supervisor and arranges most suitable storage location for different type, grade and rating of material
- Ensures all receiving formalities like initial inspections & identification of loads to ensure they are correctly identified Includes checking for goods damaged in transit, preparing Over, Short, Damage Rejection form and notifying, in coordination with Receiving Supervisor, to the INVC/Warehouse team Leader
- Directs the storage and protection of materials in accordance with specific requirements determined by the Company’s vocabulary system, and/or manufacturers’ Instructions or recommendations for the protection and preservation of materials including but not limited to Hazardous or Dangerous goods. Ensures that all Stock materials received are properly labelled, protected and stored
- Reviews and confirms delivery notes covering transfer of materials to sub stores yard and dispatch of repaired equipment to field and other locations. Checks and confirms activities related to return of materials from various locations to the warehouse yard, ensuring that returned materials are checked/ technically inspected, before dispatch to / storage at relevant locations
- Ensures that all actions on the issue of materials are carried out in accordance with the principle of “first in, first out” (FIFO). Ensures also, that certain sensitive materials, which have expiry date, are recorded on the label
- Periodic reporting on activities pertaining to his area of responsibility to Warehouse Team leader
- Manages the integrity of Warehouse security and traffic flow to avoid confusion or loss of material. Promotes safe working habits, observing company HSE procedure

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Safety, Supply Chain, Material Management or Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably in the Materials Management function
- Lead ship of site management
- Analytical skills
- HSE awareness
