Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including site assessment, system layout, and electrical design
- Oversee and manage the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of solar PV projects, ensuring they meet performance and quality standards
- Conduct detailed engineering analysis, including energy yield simulations and financial modelling, to optimize system performance and cost-effectiveness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and contractors, to ensure successful project delivery
- Witness regular inspections and testing of solar PV systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients, stakeholders, and team members throughout the project lifecycle
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to incorporate best practices into project designs
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and reports
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and industry standards and safety protocols
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a focus on renewable energy or equivalent Professional certification in solar photovoltaic (PV) systems is highly desirable
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the design, implementation, and management of large-scale solar PV projects is required
- The candidate should have hands-on experience with projects exceeding 500 MW, with a proven track record in overseeing projects from conception to completion Additionally, experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams, conducting feasibility studies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations is essential
